To Note for 2018/19

Mexico.

The Veracruz area is the largest with 50 % of all the planted area which is 341,000 Ha. Total production is 4.6 MMT with 2.1 MMT going for processing. Estimated production of OJC is 210,000 MT.

The amount invested to prevent greening is $1.85m.

South Africa

Increased production is expected from increased planting.

Grapefruit production will increase 7% to 450,000MT of which 135,00MT will gofor processing.

Orange production will increase 5% to 1.62 MMT and OJC production will increase 9% to 35,000 MT. Limpopo is the largest area with 49% of the total.
