General information.

The use of agrochemicals is central to most agricultural production.  These materials are designed to control pests (weeds & insects etc) during production of agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables, to assist growers to have a productive yield by limiting losses. This recommendation provides information on how MRL's are set and a review of methodology including the of the “QuEChERS-method” (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe) which has revolutionised pesticide residue analysis.

This recommendation has been published and is available via the IFU website under Methods of Analysis to members eligible for access.
