Membership types

Association member

The membership for national/regional associations active in juices and related products. Different membership categories are available dependent upon annual production and /or annual per capita consumption. Voting rights are higher for larger associations.

Corporate Member

This is the most popular membership type. There are 3 categories of corporate membership to choose from, with more member benefits unlocked with higher categories, such as more information in The Global Juice Market Report and unlimited access to IFU publications.

Supporter of IFU

There are 3 entry level member categories valid for an individual person or a small company. Restricted member benefits compared to corporate membership however some good member discounts are available for example at IFU events.

University member

University membership is available to an officially recognised University or Research Centre active in juice science and technology. This membership type is based on the relationship being mutually beneficial and is not subject to an annual fee.

Student member

Available for students currently attending an officially recognised University or Research Centre active in juice science and technology. Valid for an individual person.

This membership type is not subject to an annual fee.

Governmental Laboratory member

Available to an officially recognised laboratory (known as “Governmental Laboratory”). To be eligible, the organisation will conduct controls and analysis of samples for the competent authorities and without commercial purpose. This membership type requires a signed Memorandum of Understanding with IFU and is not subject to an annual fee.

Networking

Get connected with our diverse network of over 1,700 juice professionals at either our physical meetings and events or via the groups on Social Link which can be accessed via the website or the smart phone app. Our website also gives members the opportunity to make contact with each other and develop their network.

IFU Publications

IFU methods are used throughout the juice supply chain to check the quality and authenticity of juice products. They are the only methods that have been developed and validated on juice materials. Some of these methods are also available on e-learning videos. A new series of Best Practice Guidelines (BPG’s) have been developed by experts from the Science and Technology Commission to help industry professionals understand key processes and optimise performance.

Events and Communications

Participate in IFU related events such as the Juice Summit (in conjunction with AIJN and SGF), the Technical Workshop and Roadshows (in conjunction with SGF) and the IFU Juice Conference. Keep up to date with frequent IFU hot news items plus juiceletters giving an overview of all IFU activities. The IFU University Juice Processing Summer School offers unique specialised subject courses on Juice Technology and related topics.

Discounts

There are a wide range of member discounts such as special prices for IFU events, for example €500 per person at the IFU University Summer School, 10% off analytical services at GfL laboratories in Berlin (please contact info@gfl-berlin.com) and at Eurofins Scientific in Nantes (please contact beverage.aroma@eurofinsfr.com).
